What is a Professional Organizer?
Professional organizers provide hands-on assistance to help individuals declutter, organize, and establish systems to regain control of their homes and lives. Organizers work as coaches and teach skills that will help clients maintain their newly organized spaces. They provide compassionate support to their clients and help them stay focused and motivated through the process.

What should I expect?
1: Consultation (about 15 minutes) We begin every project for a new client with a free phone consultation. This time is spent getting to know each other, talking about what your goals are for your space, discussing what the space is primarily used for and how we can tailor it to function best for you. This helps establish what we will accomplish during our session.
2: Hands-On Organizing (3 hour sessions): The main role you will play in this process is making decisions. We begin by sorting everything into categories, which will make it easier to get a realistic idea of what you have. Next, you decide which items you will keep, donate, or recycle. Together we determine the best place for your items to live based on their use. We take the time to talk about new practices and systems to implement to keep your new space organized and clutter-free.
I’m too embarrassed to call, much less let you see my home. Any advice?
I understand just how you are feeling because this is the norm. Most people I speak with express similar sentiments. My services are completely confidential and nonjudgmental. I am excited when I see a “before” space. I can assure you that I look at that space and see the potential of using it in an organized way. I visualize what the space will become at the end of our project. The hardest step is the first one. Just take a minute and give me a call. You’ll be so glad you did!
Will you give me an estimate of how long it will take?
This is a very common question asked when people reach out for help with their space. Since every person, every space, and the amount of stuff involved in any project is unique, it is difficult to provide an accurate estimate for the length of a project. Generally, in three hours we can complete a small space such as a closet, laundry room, entryway, or pantry. Larger areas or more complex spaces like a garage, home office or kitchen will likely take several sessions. Each client’s needs are unique.
How involved do I need to be throughout the process?
That is completely up to you! I can sort the items on my own or with your help. Your presence will be necessary to make decisions about items. Once that process is completed, I can finish the project-categorizing, labeling, and placement without your presence, unless you would like to be part of the entire process.
Will I need to buy organizing products?
Not necessarily. You probably have many organizing products in your home already. I strive to work with what you currently have to help you create solutions that work for you. If your budget includes updating your storage needs or if you desire a new look for your space, I can help you source new products that could be utilized in your space. I could also help you shop for products or provide you with a list to purchase products on your own. Of course, the decision to purchase new items will be completely up to you.
What are your rates?
$50 per hour with a 3-hour minimum session.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment is accepted through cash, check, credit card, CashApp, or PayPal and is due at the end of each work session.
